A few weekends ago we went just an hour away from home to "camp" overnight with three other families. See Josh setting up the tent in the background there? While I'm busy taking photos?
Highlight #1: juice boxes.
There's the set up. At least five kids and five adults are missing from this photo.
I'm just gonna say that we ran out of underwear for Lexi. It hasn't affected her behavior.
These two. So sweet.
It's not real camping unless you get marshmallow in your hair.
My guys.
Our camping success depends greatly upon the fact that we camp with other families who have done this alot and who tend to overprepare. We just show up. Well, we show up with a tent and air mattresses from our other friends. In addition to an overabundance of food, our friends bring things like walkie talkies (so that their kids can relay information to us about our kids -- who are supposed to be in their tent) and glow sticks (so our kids don't FREAK OUT about being in a tent by themselves).
It's all about who you know.
Who you calling overprepared??
LOVE the pic of the girls-might need a copy of that one.
